For my son's 13th birthday, we had planned a bowling party. I asked him what kind of cake he wanted and his answer was that he really didn't want one, that he was sick of cake. I told him that he was hurting my feelings by not wanting me to make him a cake so he told me to do whatever I wanted....as long as he approved of the design.
I wanted to make a Phineas and Ferb cake, because my son is just like Phineas. He said 'No, absolutely not!" I really wanted to make a Phineas and Ferb cake so I pouted and whined, but he would not give in. He said I could make a bowling cake. Hmmm...I could make a Phineas and Ferb bowling cake. It's not Phineas and Ferb, but it is still pretty cute plus I knew I would have another opportunity.
We had a family party planned for a few weeks after his birthday to coincide with a visit from his Aunt. I asked my son if I could make a Phineas and Ferb cake for that party. Finally, all the guilt trips paid off and he told me "Do whatever you want, just stop bugging me about cake!"
And then what usually happens, happened. I got busy with other people's orders and my son ended up with this
